ReRo was founded to honor the values and legacy of our grandfathers — Albert Reichmann and Kurt Rothschild - whose shoes we can never fill but footsteps we strive ever to follow. 

Prolific businessmen and philanthropists, they were friends for decades while leading uniquely consequential lives. Towering figures in business and Jewish life, their quiet work reshaped cities and bridged worlds. They taught us that success was never measured by skylines or balance sheets, but by the people you elevate and the lives you help build.

“When you invest in buildings your returns are finite. When you invest in people your impact is exponential.” This sage adage spoken by an astute beneficiary of our Reichmann grandfather, describes his approach to his charitable giving. In truth, this profound insight reflects not only his philanthropic mindset but also his business and life philosophy.

One of the most prolific real estate developers of their time, the family's projects — including Battery Park in NYC and Canary Wharf in London — have forever changed cities. While their successes are attributed to many factors, we recognize that their vision was driven not by towers of glass and steel, but by the building of thriving commerce, communities, and individuals.

Kurt Rothschild, too, is widely recognized as one of the most impactful activists and philanthropists of his time, seamlessly transitioning between seemingly impossible political and theological divides. The Canadian Jewish News described him as “one of the sharpest, most indefatigable, and loyal soldiers to have blessed the Jewish people over the past century.”

Forging our own path, we embrace our roots with awe and humility, remaining committed to emulating the example and principles they paved before us.
